New tune on our Myspace player

Good news! We've got some new music up on our Myspace player. Jewel Eyed Entity is a track written by our sax player Mike Fletcher and we love it. Proper 70s vibe with a really nice groove for the solos. Don't take my word for it though, head over to our Myspace and check it out:

Let us know what you think. Look out for more new music coming soon and a full album later in the year.

1. Root Soul - "It's The Way" (feat Vanessa Freeman)
2. Aaron Jerome - "Focus On A Miracle" (feat Paul Randolph)
3. Kyoto Jazz Massive - "Stand Up" (feat Vanessa Freeman)
4. Bakura - "Mistaken" (feat Darien)
5. Shuya Okino - "Sun Will Rise" (feat Diviniti)
6. Jose Carretas - "Never Let Me Down" (feat Dani)
7. DJ Kawasaki - "Elevate Your Mind" (feat Tasita D'Mour - Restless Soul remix)
8. Hajime Yoshizawa - "Time" (feat Navasha Daya - Domu's Disco Funk remix)
9. Sub Ensemble - "Faster Than The Sun" (Domu remix)
10. Mano Arriba - "You Can Make It" (feat Tasita D'Mour)

I noticed over Christmas that I hadn't updated this blog since September and vowed to update it more often. It's not that we haven't been doing anything it's just tricky to keep on top of it all! Hopefully I'll keep it a bit more updated as we've got a few pieces of new music, plus some exiting releases in the pipeline.

EP Launches

Not content with one launch for our new EP on Treble O, we'll be having two. First up you can catch us at The Jam House in Birmingham on the 17th June with Special Guest vocalist Sara Colman. For those of you in the capital, we'll be playing at the fantastic Jazz Re:Freshed night at Mau Mau on the Portobello road on Thursday 19th June. This gig will feature another Special Guest vocalist Leo Altarelli.

At both gigs we'll have limited edition CD copies of the EP with artwork by Mr The Beef (http://www.myspace.com/beefbonk) with 4 tracks plus Domu's remix of Faster than the sun. We won't be selling these outside of our gigs and there will be a limited run so first come first served I'm afraid!

Here comes Treble out today!

Well, on iTunes anyway! You'll have to wait a bit longer to get your hands on this great compilation from Treble O. As well as our track 22:21, you can get your hands on fine music from Ben Mi Duck, Domu, Dorian Concept, Lukid and many more. Well worth checking out in our opinion. You can find it here:

Also, congrats to the John Randall Quartet who were awarded the Dave Holland/Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Ensemble Award last night. They were deserving winners in our book and definitely one to keep an eye on.

Dave Holland/Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Ensemble Award...

We've been lucky enough to make it through to the final of this award being judged by all round bass legend Dave Holland!!  If you're around in Birmingham on the 27th April at 8pm then come down to the Recital Hall at the Conservatoire and cheer us on.  There's stiff competition so we're gonna need your support.

Thanks to everyone who made it down to Bossaphonik in Oxford on Friday.  We had a great time as ever and we'll definitely be back there in the future.  We've got gigs coming up in Birmingham and London in the coming months with more to come soon.
